Ingredients:

For the Dough:

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
For the Filling:
- 3-4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Make the dough: Combine flour, warm water, salt, oil, and vinegar. Mix until smooth. Knead 5-7 minutes. Cover and let rest 30 minutes.

3. Prepare the filling: Mix sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

4. Roll out the dough: Thinly roll to 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness. 5. Assemble the strudel: Spread melted butter, then apple mixture, leaving 1-inch (2.5 cm) borders. 6. Roll and fold: Roll dough, then fold edges to seal. 7. Brush with egg wash and bake 35-40 minutes, or until golden. 8. Serve warm, dust with powdered sugar.
